In the early morning hours of December 18, 2022, the life of Niesha Givens, a 42-year-old Black/African American woman, was tragically cut short in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The incident occurred around 2:27 a.m. near the intersection of 95th Street and Brown Deer Road.
Givens sustained fatal injuries from a shooting. She was transported to a local hospital, where she ultimately succumbed to her wounds.
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office later officially identified her as the victim.
In the wake of the shooting, the Milwaukee Police Department launched an investigation into her death. At the time of the initial reports, law enforcement officials stated that they were actively seeking unknown suspects. The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing. As of late 2025, there have been no public announcements regarding any arrests made or specific suspects identified in connection with the homicide.
