On a tragic Friday, the 6th of October, 1978, the life of 30-year-old Caucasian male Kenneth Moran was cut short in the line of duty in Pierce County, Washington. A Deputy Sheriff with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, Moran, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, had been with the department for two and a half years.
