Troy Cooks, a 29-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on November 10, 2017, in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the 1900 block of North Rampart Street. At around 12:31 p.m., Louisiana State Police responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered Troy Cooks had been shot in the face. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries.
