Devante Durrell Jefferson, a 28-year-old male, was killed on Monday, August 9, 2021, in a shooting that occurred in the 7th Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident also resulted in the injury of a 15-year-old girl.

In connection with the death of Devante Jefferson, authorities arrested Wilbert Jefferson. Subsequently, the Orleans Parish Grand Jury indicted Wilbert Jefferson on several charges, including one count of Second Degree Murder with a Firearm.
