On December 12, 2022, at approximately 12:30 a.m., the New Orleans Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 900 block of Louisa Street in the St. Claude area. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive 63-year-old male victim with a single gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. At that time, the identity of the deceased was withheld pending autopsy results.
