On a tragic Saturday morning in Vancouver, Washington, the life of 54-year-old Joy Meei Shang Sun was abruptly cut short. On February 28, 2004, she accompanied her friend, Jong Ja Taylor, to the home of Taylor's estranged husband, Jack B. Taylor. The purpose of their visit was to retrieve some of Jong Ja's personal belongings, as she had made the decision to leave her husband and was planning to return to her native Korea the following day.
