In a tragic turn of events on a Sunday night in April 2013, Bradley Fischer, a 47-year-old male, lost his life in a violent shooting spree at the Pinewood Village Apartments in Federal Way, Washington. Fischer was visiting a friend at the complex when he became an unintended victim in a brutal chain of events that stemmed from a domestic dispute.
The chaos began when 27-year-old Dennis Clark III shot and killed his 24-year-old girlfriend, Justine Baez, inside their shared apartment.
Following this initial act of violence, Clark exited his apartment and continued his rampage in the parking lot. It was there that he encountered Bradley Fischer and another man, 23-year-old Ceasar Valdovinos. Both men tragically became victims as Clark opened fire on them.
The gunman's deadly path continued as he then forced his way into the apartment of 62-year-old Roland Scobee, who was attempting to call 911 for help. Clark shot and killed Scobee inside his home. The violent episode finally came to an end when responding Federal Way police officers confronted Clark and shot and killed him at the scene.
In the aftermath, police characterized the horrific event as a domestic violence homicide that tragically escalated, claiming the lives of four innocent people. Family members of Bradley Fischer, who was homeless at the time of his death, were eventually located and notified of the devastating news. Community members and police later praised the victims who had stepped outside to investigate the disturbance as heroes.
