On Christmas Day in 2023, a young Hispanic man named Pedro Balderas, aged 25, was fatally shot in Federal Way, Washington. The incident occurred in the evening, around 8:41 p.m., in the parking lot of the Pavilion Apartments on Southwest Campus Drive. Just a week shy of his 26th birthday, Balderas was found with multiple gunshot wounds. Neighbors who heard the gunshots promptly called 911.
