In the early morning hours of February 4, 2017, the life of Jason Emery, a 37-year-old White/Caucasian male, was tragically cut short in his Tacoma, Washington home. What began as a dispute over personal belongings with a former roommate escalated into a fatal confrontation. Deputies were called to the residence in the 4700 block of 64th Street East around 5 a.m. and discovered Emery unresponsive, sitting against a wall with a single gunshot wound to his abdomen.
