Jared Eugene Scroggins, a 23-year-old male and an enrolled member of the Chickasaw Nation, was tragically killed on the evening of March 5, 2017, in Yakima, Washington. He was walking with a friend on East 'D' Street at approximately 10:30 p.m. when he was fatally shot in what has been described as a senseless and random act of violence. His death came just one day before his son's second birthday.
