In the pre-dawn hours of a Sunday morning, the life of William Dealavone Jones, a 30-year-old man, was violently extinguished in Tacoma, Washington. On May 9, 2021, at approximately 4:15 a.m., the sound of gunfire echoed through the 7600 block of South Tacoma Way, prompting several calls to 911.
