In the pre-dawn hours of a Sunday morning, the life of William Dealavone Jones, a 30-year-old man, was violently extinguished in Tacoma, Washington. On May 9, 2021, at approximately 4:15 a.m., the sound of gunfire echoed through the 7600 block of South Tacoma Way, prompting several calls to 911. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Mr. Jones and another man in a parking lot, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
