On a Sunday afternoon, January 15, 2023, the life of 16-year-old White male, Wyatt Owens, was cut tragically short in Tacoma, Washington. He was behind the wheel of his white BMW, driving near the intersection of North 43rd Street and North Pearl Street. It was approximately 5:15 p.m. when another vehicle, described as a dark, four-door sedan with tinted windows, pulled up alongside him. In a sudden act of violence, an occupant of the other car fired a gun, striking Wyatt in the head.
