In the small community of Rocky Hill Station, Kentucky, a dedicated lawman met a tragic and untimely end. Town Marshal Lafayette C. Copas, a 47-year-old male, was a figure of authority in the quiet town. His commitment to upholding the law, however, would ultimately cost him his life on a fateful day in the summer of 1908.
