In the brisk autumn of 2009, the life of a vibrant Lexington, Kentucky teenager was tragically cut short. Ali Perkins Shalash, a 17-year-old male of Middle Eastern/Arab descent, was fatally wounded on November 23rd. The young man, known for his love of roller-skating, basketball, and singing, was at a friend's home on Dorset Drive when the incident occurred.
