In the early hours of March 15, 2014, the life of 26-year-old Ashley Thomas was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. The incident unfolded around 3:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of Esquire Alley, where a shooting broke out. Thomas was fatally wounded during the altercation. Another woman at the scene was also shot, sustaining a non-life-threatening injury to her hand for which she received treatment at University Hospital.
