In the early morning hours of January 4, 2021, a 28-year-old white female named Veronica Wecas was left at Norton Hospital in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. She was suffering from a gunshot wound and died a short time after her arrival at the hospital. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later confirmed her identity and the cause of death.
The Louisville Metro Police Department's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation into her death.
