In the early morning hours of January 4, 2021, a 28-year-old white female named Veronica Wecas was left at Norton Hospital in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. She was suffering from a gunshot wound and died a short time after her arrival at the hospital. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later confirmed her identity and the cause of death.
