In the early morning hours of November 25, 2012, the life of 24-year-old Cheryl Lynette Williamson, a Black female, was tragically cut short in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. A student at Western Kentucky University, she was back in Louisville for the Thanksgiving holiday, a time for family and friends that ended in unimaginable sorrow.
