In the spring of 2014, the life of 28-year-old Keon Grant, a Black male, was tragically cut short in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. On the evening of May 14th, in the vicinity of East 1st Street and Vine Street, Grant was shot. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. First responders found Grant and transported him to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, but he was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
