In the late hours of February 8, 2023, the city of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, was pierced by the sound of gunfire. Just after 11 p.m., authorities received calls reporting shots fired near the intersection of Breathitt and Beach Streets. Responding officers discovered a man lying partially in the roadway, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
