In the late hours of a Friday night in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, the life of 33-year-old Christopher Montrell Mumford was tragically cut short. On what has been reported as both May 27 and May 28, 2022, Mumford was fatally shot just before midnight outside a residence at 810 East Fourth Street.
Mumford, a resident of Hopkinsville, had gone to the home with some friends. When they knocked on the door, a man named Tavaris Quarles, who was 32 years old at the time, opened it and shot Mumford.
