In the cold of a January night in 2015, the life of a young man from Indianapolis came to a tragic end in Louisville, Kentucky. Twenty-year-old Sherman Edwards Jr., a Black / African American male, was found fatally shot on the grounds of the Fern Valley Motel on January 9th. The grim discovery was made by Louisville Metro Police officers who were responding to reports of a shooting in the area.
