In the autumn of 2015, the community of Richmond, Kentucky, was shaken by a violent event that resulted in the death of one of its residents. Steve Thomas Martin, a 57-year-old male, was fatally shot on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. The incident, a triple shooting, unfolded in an apartment on Jason Drive, a location where Martin did not reside. When police arrived at the scene around 12:53 p.m., they found Martin deceased. An autopsy was subsequently scheduled to be performed in Frankfort.
