In the summer of 2021, a tragedy befell the city of Richmond, Kentucky, with the death of 54-year-old Christopher Lynn 'Chris' Hager. On the afternoon of Tuesday, August 3rd, Christopher and his wife, Gracie, were shot and killed outside a duplex they owned on Keystone Drive. The couple, who were well-regarded in their community as entrepreneurs and devout church members, had recently purchased the property.
