On the morning of Saturday, March 21, 2026, a dispute on the far north side of Milwaukee escalated into a burst of gunfire that left one man dead and four others wounded. Simeon Calvert, a 25-year-old male, was identified by his family as the victim who succumbed to his injuries. The shooting occurred at approximately 11:00 a.m. in the vicinity of North 37th Street, near the intersection of West Teutonia Avenue and West Good Hope Road.
First responders arrived at the chaotic scene to
find five individuals with gunshot wounds. All five victims were quickly transported to a local hospital for medical attention. Calvert s injuries were grave and, despite the efforts of medical staff, he was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The other four victims, a 20-year-old, a 21-year-old, and two 29-year-olds, sustained non-fatal injuries and received treatment.
The Milwaukee Police Department launched a homicide investigation into the incident. Early findings from the investigation suggested that a verbal altercation preceded the quintuple shooting. As of now, the suspect or suspects involved in the shooting have not been identified and remain at large. The investigation is active and ongoing as authorities continue to search for those responsible for Calvert's death and the injuries to the other four individuals. The police have appealed to the public for any information that might lead to an arrest, urging witnesses or anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
