Andre Lamont O'Neal Jr., an 8-year-old boy from Louisville, Kentucky, tragically lost his life on January 9, 2016. The incident occurred during a cookout at a home in the Shawnee neighborhood. According to reports, Andre was shot by a .357 magnum revolver that allegedly slipped from the hands of 21-year-old Elgin Anders and discharged upon hitting the ground. The young boy was taken to Kosair Children’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after midnight from a single gunshot wound.
