In the early morning hours of January 14, 2017, the sound of gunfire shattered the peace outside the King Cobra Motorcycle Club on East Third Street in Lexington, Kentucky. When police officers arrived at approximately 2:45 a.m., they found 38-year-old Robert Cowan Jr. on the ground with a gunshot wound. Emergency services transported Cowan to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
