In the quiet community of Oak Grove, Kentucky, the life of 28-year-old Christopher Ryan Hoch, a male soldier stationed at Fort Campbell, was tragically cut short on February 2, 2017. He was killed in a violent shooting that also claimed the life of his friend, 32-year-old Spc. Priscilla Ann East. The incident unfolded inside the home Christopher shared with his fiancée, Dominique House, and her younger brother.
Priscilla, who was also a soldier at Fort Campbell, had sought refuge at the
home, a place she often went when she felt unsafe due to issues with her estranged husband. On that fateful day, her estranged husband, 32-year-old Jeremy Demar, arrived at the residence. A violent struggle ensued, during which both Christopher and Priscilla were fatally shot. Christopher's fiancée and her 16-year-old brother were also injured during the altercation.
In the aftermath of the tragic event, law enforcement quickly identified Jeremy Demar as the suspect. He was promptly arrested and subsequently charged with the murders of both Christopher Hoch and Priscilla East.
