In the spring of 2018, the life of 19-year-old Devon Guest was cut short in an act of violence that marked another grim statistic in Lexington, Kentucky's growing homicide rate. A Black male, Guest was fatally shot on the evening of Friday, April 6, 2018. The incident unfolded in the 500 block of Michigan Street, a residential area nestled between Georgetown Street and Charles Avenue.
