On April 22, 2018, in Louisville, Kentucky, 32-year-old Orestes Romaro Nieblas was fatally shot during a violent altercation. The incident began when a resident alerted West Buechel Police Officer Keith Walz about a man chasing another individual with a gun near Bardstown Road and Bashford Manor Lane. Upon arrival, Officer Walz encountered Nieblas and 37-year-old Miguel Escalona Vivas.
