In the early morning hours of December 30, 2018, the life of 35-year-old Natasha Dawn Henderson was tragically cut short on a street in Covington, Kentucky. Responding to a report of a shooting shortly after 2:30 a.m., police discovered Henderson's body at the intersection of West Pike and Main streets. She had sustained fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the female's death quickly led authorities to identify a primary suspect.
Law enforcement named 33-year-old Patrick Orlando Blanchard as the individual who allegedly shot and killed Henderson. A warrant for his arrest on the charge of murder was promptly issued. Described as being 6'8' and weighing 250 pounds, Blanchard's last known address was in Cincinnati, Ohio. While the suspected shooter remained at large, police made an arrest in connection to the case. David Vaughn was taken into custody and charged with complicity to murder, believed to have been the driver of the getaway vehicle. He was held at the Kenton County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
Following a public appeal for information on his whereabouts, Patrick Orlando Blanchard eventually turned himself in to the police. The investigation suggested that Blanchard and Henderson were in a vehicle together before the fatal shooting occurred. Authorities also sought to speak with occupants of two other vehicles that were stopped in traffic behind the vehicle involved in the incident, hoping to gather more witness information about the events that transpired that morning.
