On the evening of February 23, 2019, tragedy unfolded at a crowded restaurant on the Outer Loop in Louisville, Kentucky. Jose Munoz, a 25-year-old Hispanic male, had gone to the Olive Garden in the Okolona neighborhood to enjoy a meal with his family. The night took a turn when a disturbance broke out in the restaurant's lobby. Witnesses stated that a small child had accidentally bumped into another patron, prompting the man to shove the child.
