In the spring of 2023, the Parkland neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, was shaken by the violent death of a beloved community member. On the evening of May 9th, 33-year-old Julius 'Chuckie' Cole, a Black/African American male, was fatally shot at 3027 Greenwood Avenue. His death was quickly classified as a homicide by the Louisville Metro Police Department, marking another tragic loss for the city.
