In the late hours of a March evening in Monticello, Kentucky, a confrontation at a home on Kentucky Highway 92 West turned deadly, leaving a family and community in mourning. Jason Kay Dishman, a 36-year-old male resident of Monticello, was shot during the altercation on March 23, 2019. He was quickly transported to Wayne County Hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead shortly before 7 p.m.
