In the early morning hours of Sunday, March 30, 2025, the community of Monticello, Kentucky, was disturbed by a grim discovery. Berry Rainer Rose III, a 46-year-old male, was found deceased outside a residence on Cart Bell Ridge Road. An apparent gunshot wound was the cause of his untimely death. The Wayne County 911 dispatch received the call and immediately involved the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, who, upon observing signs of foul play, requested the assistance of the Kentucky State Police.
