In the city of Lexington, Kentucky, a young life was tragically cut short on the evening of November 15, 2019. Bryant D. Gaston, Jr., a 17-year-old Black male, was at a residence on Kingtree Court with two friends when a handgun was present. The circumstances of that evening would irrevocably alter the course of several young lives. A call was made to the police, not with the sounds of a teenage gathering, but with the urgent news that someone had been shot.
