Carmelita Lashaun Wright, aged 39, tragically lost her life on October 5, 2020, in Frankfort, Kentucky. The incident was a murder-suicide, where Wright was fatally shot by her partner, Lorenzo Andrew Simpson, aged 43, who then turned the gun on himself. The Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call at a home on Tamworth Lane, where they discovered the bodies of Wright and Simpson. The couple's young daughter was present in the home during the incident but was unharmed.
