In the early morning hours of October 27, 2020, Glenn H. Odell, a 45-year-old White / Caucasian male, was fatally shot in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. The incident unfolded at approximately 5 a.m. at the 440 Market, a convenience store located at the corner of South 5th Street and West Market Street. Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to a report of a burglary, which was quickly escalated to a shooting.
Upon their arrival, authorities discovered two men in front of the business who had sustained gunshot wounds. Odell was pronounced dead at the scene, with the Jefferson County Coroner's Office later confirming he died from multiple gunshot wounds. The second man was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
