In the late evening of November 29, 2020, the life of 25-year-old Cherylandai Da'Sha Wilson, a Black female from Bowling Green, Kentucky, was tragically cut short. Louisville Metro Police Department officers were dispatched to the 7300 block of Six Mile Lane in the Klondike neighborhood around 9:30 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered a grim scene: Wilson and another individual, 27-year-old Georgedon Spiller, also from Bowling Green, were found inside a
vehicle, both having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office pronounced both individuals dead at the scene.
Known to her loved ones as 'Landai,' Wilson was a mother to a daughter named Skylar. She was a graduate of Bowling Green High School, where she had been active on the basketball and track teams. Pursuing her passion, she attended Empire Beauty School and became a cosmetologist. Friends and family remember her as a joyful and positive person who was a supportive friend and a talented cook. Her greatest pride and joy was being a devoted mother to her daughter.
The Louisville Metro Police Department's Homicide Unit is actively investigating the double homicide. Despite their efforts, the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. To date, no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made in connection with the deaths of Cherylandai Da'Sha Wilson and Georgedon Spiller. Authorities have appealed to the public for any information that might lead to a breakthrough in the ongoing investigation.
