In the late hours of a Saturday evening in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, the life of 29-year-old Irving Mortesé White was cut short by a fatal shooting on February 20, 2021. A male with roots in Washington, D.C., White had grown up in Kentucky, attending North Hardin High School and becoming a father. His interests as a young man included soccer, playing the trumpet in the school band, and participating in JROTC. As an adult, he was known for his love of working on cars and electronics.
