Devante Watts, aged 19, was found dead in a Roseland alley on December 30, 2012. He was discovered in the 500 block of East 109th Street with a gunshot wound to the head. The police responded to the scene, where the Cook County medical examiner pronounced him dead at approximately 11:40 a.m. The authorities have been investigating the incident as a homicide, and it is believed that Devante was shot while on foot in the alley.
