In the early morning hours of August 22, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace outside a Waffle House on South Broadway in Lexington, Kentucky, forever changing the lives of many. When the chaos subsided, 22-year-old Jaimesha Beattie, a young woman with her whole life ahead of her, lay dead at the scene, a victim of the senseless violence.
