In the early evening of Sunday, September 12, 2021, the life of 42-year-old Daron L. Washington was cut short in the Newburg neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. Police were called to the intersection of Oaklawn Lane and Rangeland Road shortly after 9 p.m. for what initially appeared to be a single-vehicle accident. First responders discovered a car that had crashed into a tree, with Washington inside suffering from severe injuries.
He was quickly transported to University Hospital for emergency medical treatment.
