In the autumn of 2021, the life of 18-year-old Kavonia McLain, a Black female, was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. On Friday, September 24, 2021, Kavonia was fatally shot at 10429 Hillpark Drive. The incident prompted an outpouring of grief and a search for answers that has so far remained elusive.
