On a Friday afternoon, February 4, 2022, the life of 51-year-old Karen Elizabeth Young was cut short. A female, Karen was found on the front porch of her Glenn View Road home with a fatal gunshot wound. Her death sent ripples of shock and grief through her loved ones and the surrounding community.
Responding to the scene, the Kentucky State Police discovered a
second individual, Paul Bewley, 55, also deceased on the porch from what was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The preliminary investigation led authorities to believe that Bewley had shot and killed Young before taking his own life in an apparent murder-suicide. This devastating conclusion left more questions than answers for those who knew the couple.
In the wake of the tragedy, Karen's family expressed their profound sorrow and bewilderment.
