In the spring of 2022, a promising young woman's life was tragically cut short in an act of senseless violence. Amaya Victoria Taylor Sandifer, a 20-year-old female, was killed on the evening of Saturday, May 7, 2022, in Lexington, Kentucky. Sandifer, a student at Tennessee State University with aspirations of a career in nursing and public health, was back in her hometown when the fatal incident occurred.
The shooting took place at Green Acres Park on the north side of Lexington. Reports
