Amy Koegel, a 43-year-old White/Caucasian female, tragically died on May 20, 2016, in Lexington, Kentucky. Her life was cut short in a violent act that stemmed from a domestic dispute. Koegel, a mother and an active community member, was found with gunshot wounds in the backyard of her home on Pinkney Drive. The discovery was made by police officers who were conducting a welfare check after her family reported her missing, having not seen her since the evening of May 18th.
