In May of 2022, a distressing scene unfolded on Caywood Drive in Lexington, Kentucky, leading to the untimely death of 65-year-old Lisa Wilson. A dedicated nurse for most of her career at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lisa was on the verge of retirement. Her life, however, was tragically cut short when she and her two adult daughters, Bryonny and Bronwyn Wilson, were found with fatal gunshot wounds inside their home.
Responding to a call about a 'disorder' involving a gun, Lexington police
discovered the three women, all of whom were pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation swiftly led to the arrest of Lisa's husband and the father of her children, Steven Wilson, who was 64 at the time. He was charged with three counts of murder in connection with the deaths of his wife and daughters.
Steven Wilson later confessed to the killings, citing fears of financial collapse as the motive behind his actions. According to his statement to the court, he was concerned about their finances with his wife's impending retirement and believed the solution was to 'kill us all' to save them from this perceived financial ruin. In May 2023, nearly a year after the tragic event, Steven Wilson pleaded guilty to three counts of murder under a plea agreement that removed the death penalty as a possible sentence. He was subsequently sentenced to prison for the murders of his wife and two daughters.
