In the summer of 2022, the life of 28-year-old Dorien Meullion, a Black male, was cut short by violence in Louisville, Kentucky. On the night of Friday, June 10th, police responded to a call at an apartment complex located at 3511 Paragon Court in the Bashford Manor neighborhood. There, they discovered Meullion suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene, his life tragically ending in the place he called home.
The Jefferson County Coroner's office later officially identified him as the victim.
The Louisville Metro Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into Meullion's death. Investigators canvassed the area for evidence and sought to piece together the events that led to the fatal shooting. In the days following the incident, the police made a public appeal for information, urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity or had knowledge of the crime to come forward.
