On a September night in 2022, the promising life of Adetokunbo Oluwatomi Okunoye, a 25-year-old Nigerian man, came to a tragic end in Lexington, Kentucky. A recent graduate with a Master's in Business Administration from Xavier University, he was in town visiting friends. The evening was spent at a party on Oxford Circle, an event that would ultimately lead to a fatal confrontation. Okunoye and his friends had never met Woody LaPierre, a 31-year-old Lexington resident, before that night.
