Tyrone D. Rice, Jr., a 16-year-old from Minneapolis, was tragically shot on October 15, 2015, while sitting in a parked car on Lyndale Avenue North near 27th Avenue North. He succumbed to his injuries the following day. The incident occurred in the afternoon when someone fired shots into the vehicle, striking Rice in the head. At the time of the shooting, Rice was accompanied by three other individuals, including an infant in a car seat.
